José Antonio Hidalgo Molina

Biography

I consider myself a business strategist with ability to multidisciplinary management. As Executive Director of the Ecuadorian- Chinese Chamber of Commerce (2010-2013), I led the organizing team of the first business fair of Chinese enterprises in Ecuador “Expo China 2011, 2012, 2013”. On 2015, I finished a Master´s degree in International Relations at Peking University. In 2011 I co-founded, with my brother, the company Annex Asia Machinery & Asia Surveyors that specializes in quality control and manufacturing solutions. In 2014 I became a board member of the Ecuadorian Chinese Chamber of Commerce. In 2016 due to a re-structure on the Ecuadorian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, I took over the National Executive Director post since May 2016 in order to organize the commercial public-private forum during President Xi Jinping visit to our country. From January 2017 to 2021 I was President of the Board of Directors of th Ecuadorian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and since 2020 I´m currently working as Executive Director of the Ecuadorian Banana Exporters Association, Coordinator of the Ecuadorian Banana Cluster, and Vicepresident of the Ecuador Private Sector Committe.
