Biography

Sarushen Pillay, serving as Sasol’s Executive Vice President for Business Building, Strategy and Technology since 1 April 2024, stands as a distinguished leader within South Africa’s environmental sector. In his portfolio, Sarushen is responsible for shaping sustainable pathways for Future Sasol balancing People, Planet and Profit objectives. This entails defining long term strategic pathways to transition and transform Sasol for a low carbon world, while maintaining shareholder and societal value; and delivering on the company’s research, innovation and technology, and business building agenda.
