Sara Jane Ahmed serves as the Managing Director and V20 Finance Advisor to the Climate Vulnerable Forum and V20 Finance Ministers. She is the Founder of the Financial Futures Center, a think tank focusing on analytics for the climate prosperity agenda. She is an advisor to the Least Developed Country board member in the Green Climate Fund. She is a member of the Task Force on Climate, Development and the IMF, the board of the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) and the advisory board of various institutions including the Global Renewables Congress and Climate Smart Ventures. She was previously an energy finance analyst for IEEFA covering the Philippines and Bangladesh markets and an investment advisor for private equity groups specializing in originating and structuring energy opportunities. Timo Bollerhey is the CEO of H2Global Holding and Hintco GmbH, Creator of the H2Global mechanism and Co-Founder of H2Global Foundation. Additionally, Timo has been apointed as a Co-Chair of the CertifHy Steering Committee, one of the leading European voluntary certification schemes. He is an investment and financial markets expert with more than 20 years of experience. Before initiating and designing H2Global, he worked as director for the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Brazil, focusing on blended finance approaches and the mobilization of institutional investors towards alternative assets. Prior to this, he served as Division Manager at the AfDB (African Development Bank) to foster the collaboration and co-financing with strategic private and public-sector partners. Pamela Coke-Hamilton has served as Executive Director of ITC since October 2020. Since that time she has led the agency to meet the economic and trade challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent global supply chain disruptions. Ms. Coke-Hamilton has a breadth of experience and expertise in trade-related capacity-building and sustainable development and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable economies such as the small island developing states and least developed countries. Ms. Coke-Hamilton has worked extensively with the private sector and academia across African, Caribbean and Pacific countries to build trade-related institutional strength within member States. She also established the Women Empowered through Export (WeXport) platform to address the disadvantages that women-owned firms experience in accessing markets. She began her career in Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and later also served as Director of Trade, Tourism and Competitiveness of the Organization of American States (OAS) and Executive Director of the Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA).

Mr. Dominguez has become the tenth Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), bringing over three decades of experience in the global maritime sector. He began his career representing Panama in roles within the Panama Maritime Authority and later as Panama's Ambassador to IMO. His ability to build consensus earned him key leadership roles, including Chair of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) and various other IMO committees. A trained naval architect, Mr. Dominguez holds a degree from Veracruzana University in Mexico and later pursued an MBA from the University of Hull, as well as qualifications in International Law and European Politics from Birkbeck University, UK. His diverse background enabled him to understand the maritime sector's complexities, supporting IMO as Chief of Staff and Administrative Director, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. In July 2023, he was elected Secretary-General for a four-year term starting in 2024, following his role as Director of the Marine Environment Division.

Yasmin Fahimi has a strong sense of justice. After studying chemistry, she therefore decided to join a trade union. During her time as a trade union secretary at the IGBCE, she got to know the concerns of employees first-hand. She later took this knowledge with her into German federal politics. Marcel Fratzscher is a researcher, author, and columnist on economic and socio-political topics, President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), and Professor of Macroeconomics at Humboldt University Berlin. Among other things, he is a member of the United Nations High-level Advisory Board on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a member of the Advisory Board of the German Federal Ministry of Economics, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hertie School of Governance. His work focuses on macroeconomics and financial markets, inequality, and the globalization and integration of Europe. He is a columnist for Zeit Online and regularly publishes commentaries in German and international media such as the Financial Times and Project Syndicate. Robin Geiss is the Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). He was appointed by Secretary-General António Guterres and assumed the post in April 2021. He has over 20 years of experience in peace, security and international affairs. Previously, he served as tenured Professor and Director of the Glasgow Centre for International Law and Security at the University of Glasgow. Mary Beth Goodman took up duties as Deputy Secretary-General on 4 April 2024, bringing with her extensive expertise and leadership experience in economic development, trade, anti-corruption, and democratic governance around the world. As Deputy Secretary-General, Mary Beth Goodman is responsible for the environment, public governance, and development portfolios of the OECD. This will include responsibility for sustainable development, climate finance and anti-corruption. From 2021 to 2023, she was the United States Coordinator for Global COVID Response and Health Security, having previously served as Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and Senior Director for Development and Democracy at the US National Security Council. Mary Beth Goodman has also been a leader in civil society, co-founding an organisation to investigate links between corruption, kleptocracy, and human rights abuses in Africa. Prior, she had a distinguished career in the Foreign Service, serving in diplomatic roles in Pakistan, Mali, and Washington, D.C. Before her diplomatic career, she practiced international trade law, participating in free trade agreement negotiations and advising on trade compliance matters.

BIOGRAPHY OF GILBERT F. HOUNGBO, DIRECTOR-GENERAL, INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANIZATION (ILO) In March 2022 Gilbert F. Houngbo was elected by the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization (ILO) as its 11th Director-General, becoming the first African to hold the position. He took up the role on 1 October 2022. Prior to that post, Mr Houngbo was the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, based in Rome, Italy. First elected in 2017, he was re-elected in 2021. He previously was Deputy Director-General for Field Operations and Partnerships at the ILO. In 2008, Mr Houngbo was asked to serve as Prime Minister of Togo, a position he held until 2012. Prior to that he held several posts at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), including Chief of Staff and Assistant Secretary-General and Regional Director for Africa, following several years in the private sector and three years serving as Director of Finance at the International Bank of Mali.

Ingrid-Gabriela Hoven is Managing Director of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since October 2020. Ms. Hoven is a development economist with more than 30 years of international experience focusing strongly on sustainability and climate issues. From 2010 to 2014, she served as World Bank Group Executive Director representing Germany. Prior to this assignment and thereafter, she held various high-level positions in the BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). During this time, Ms. Hoven spearheaded new global actions such as the NDC Partnership and AFR100, as well as initiatives in the field of climate risk insurance and finance. Ms. Hoven studied economics and political science at Justus-Liebig University Giessen and Université Paris IX/Dauphine. She is alumna of the postgraduate program of the German Development Institute (now IDOS).

Jutta Urpilainen oversees the European Commission’s work on international cooperation and sustainable development as the European Commissioner for International Partnerships. Before joining the Commission, she served as a Member of the Finnish Parliament from 2003 to 2019. In 2008, she became the first woman leader of the Social Democratic Party of Finland. From 2011 to 2014, she served as Finland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister. During that time, Jutta Urpilainen became closely involved in development issues, joining the Development Committee of the World Bank Group and IMF and chairing the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development. She served as the Foreign Minister’s Special Representative on Mediation (2017-19) and chaired the Finnish National Commission for UNESCO (2015-18). Commissioner Urpilainen was born in 1975. Jens Meier (58) has been CEO of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) since 2008. With more than 25 years of experience in the port, logistics, finance and IT sectors, the computer science graduate is a recognized leader in the maritime industry. His previous professional positions include board positions at Fiege Holding, the tts Group, Systematics AG (later EDS) or Software Design & Management AG (Ernst & Young Group). Jens Meier, elected IAPH Vice President for Europe in 2019, served in this capacity at the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) for a four-year tenure, during which he also assumed a temporary vice-presidency for Africa. He was elected IAPH President in summer 2023 and has been in office since November of the same year. Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is an Indigenous woman, a member of the Mbororo pastoralist people in Chad, and President of the Association of Fulani Women and Indigenous Peoples of Chad (AFPAT). Oumarou Ibrahim is an advocate for the greater inclusion of Indigenous peoples and their knowledge in the multilateral agenda addressing climate change adaptation and mitigation. An initiative on environmental storytelling grants has been named in her honor by Ami Vitale Productions. She received the Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award and was appointed as a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocate. She serves as Chair of the United Nations Permanent Forum for Indigenous Issues; UN-SDG Advocate; Member of the Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC); Member of the Advisory Committee to the Secretary-General’s 2019 Climate Action Summit; and Conservation International Senior Indigenous Fellow. Catherine Russell serves as UNICEF’s 8th Executive Director, overseeing the organization’s work for children in over 190 countries and territories. Guy Ryder is the Under-Secretary-General for Policy in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General (EOSG) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He leads global policy coordination with a focus on the Summit of the Future and its follow-ups, and ensures strategic alignment within the Executive Office. Mr. Ryder also oversees coherence in the analysis presented to the Secretary-General and supports system-wide coordination, including the implementation of the Secretary-General’s "Call to Action for Human Rights." Minister of State Sarah Ryglewski is responsible within the Federal Chancellery for cooperation between the Federal Government and the Länder. She has also been given responsibility by the Federal Cabinet for sustainable development and chairs the State Secretaries Committee on Sustainable Development. Sarah Ryglewski was previously Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Finance (2019-2021). Mia Seppo assumed the role of Assistant Director-General for the Jobs and Social Protection Cluster at the International Labour Organization on 1 February 2023. She manages three departments: Employment Policy, Job Creation, and Livelihoods; Social Protection; and Sustainable Enterprises, Productivity, and Just Transition. With over two decades at the United Nations, Ms Seppo has worked in post-conflict and peacekeeping contexts, managed UN support to complex elections and coordinated multiagency responses to crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Her fieldwork covers Africa, Central Asia, and Asia, with notable tenures as the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Malawi and as the UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh. Throughout her career, she has been engaged in the UNs advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals and rights-based approaches.

Dr Songwe was a senior advisor to the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) where her work focused on credit risk cycles and regulatory and supervisory measures to manage this. She also worked on treatment of climate and nature in the Basel III framework. She currently co- chairs the G20 Expert Group on climate, finance and debt (TF Clima) She is a also a visiting senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. Dr Songwe is a global climate champion. She is the Co-Chair of the Independent High Level Expert Panel on Climate Finance alongside Lord Nick Stern. Achim Steiner became UNDP Administrator on 19 June 2017. The United Nations General Assembly confirmed his appointment following his nomination by Secretary-General António Guterres. Karma Thinlay Wangchuk is the CEO of Ka-Ja Design Associates and the consultant coordinator for the Transformation Lab, ReBuilt Bhutan Project, a collaborative undertaking between Bauhaus Earth and the Royal Government of Bhutan, exploring regenerative and bio-based construction materials in Bhutan. Over a period spanning almost three decades, Karma has been involved as an urban planning specialist in the planning and design of numerous structural and urban development projects throughout Bhutan, including several iconic landmarks—first as a government official and later as a private consultant. Karma has designed various urban centers in Bhutan, often leading the design team and serving as the national counterpart to foreign design consultants. Since September 2023, Stefanie Harter is heading the section “Governance and Human Rights” at the department “Global Policy, Governance, Cities” at GIZ headquarter in Bonn, Germany and is thus responsible for democracy topics in the online and offline world. Stefanie is an economist by background and holds a PhD on networks in the Soviet/Russian space and aviation industry. She was director of the Moscow Office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, has worked for EU delegations in Moscow and Kyiv, was head of the liaison office of GIZ to the German Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Interior and Justice and had a four-year stay in Tunisia as cluster coordinator in charge of governance programs.

Katrin Harvey is the Secretary General of the Foundations Platform F20. Before joining F20, Katrin was Chief Operations Officer of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens. In that role, she worked closely with global leaders and young changemakers to accelerate progress towards the SDGs and the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, as part of the legacy of former UN-SG Ban Ki-moon. In over 15 years working in the fields of sustainability, climate action, clean energy, and organizational management, Katrin has managed projects in Europe, Africa, and Asia in partnership with philanthropic organisations, UN agencies, the EU, and governmental development agencies. In her work she focused on climate change adaptation, sustainable agriculture and food systems, clean energy access, climate change education and capacity building, public-private dialogue, and on facilitating South-South and South-North knowledge exchange among experts in energy efficiency, energy regulation and international law. Katrin has academic degrees in language studies and international development.

Malte Heyne earned his doctorate at the University of Bremen after studying economics in Bamberg. Dr. Julia Leininger, PhD University of Heidelberg, heads the department „Transformation of political (dis-)order“ at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). Her comparative research focuses on explaining democratization, social cohesion, international democracy support and protection as well as governing the SDGs. In her research collaborations she aims to bridge different perspectives from social and natural sciences, which are needed to inform a transformation to sustainability. Julia advises policy-makers and international organizations. Masood Ahmed is President Emeritus of the Center for Global Development. He joined the Center in January 2017, capping a 35-year career driving economic development policy initiatives relating to debt, aid effectiveness, trade, and global economic prospects at major international institutions including the IMF, World Bank, and DFID. Masood Ahmed joined CGD from the IMF, where he served for eight years as director, Middle East and Central Asia Department, earning praise from Managing Director Christine Lagarde as a “visionary leader.” In that role, he oversaw the Fund's operations in 32 countries, and managed relationships with key national and regional policy makers and stakeholders. Born and raised in Pakistan, Masood Ahmed moved to London in 1971 to study at the LSE where he obtained a BSc Honors as well as an MSc Econ with distinction. Stefanie Wodrig joined the Hamburg administration in 2019 and has been coordinating Hamburg's cooperation with Northern and Eastern Europe since 2021. An important focus is on deepening the partnership with Kyiv. She previously worked in research for several years, including at the GIGA German Institute for Global and Area Studies and the former Kiel Cluster of Excellence “Future Ocean”.
