Biography

Damani Thomas is a Jamaican research scientist, clean-energy entrepreneur, and Founder & CEO of the Carbon Neutral Initiative. He is the inventor of De30, a next-generation, drop-in bio-petrol blend designed to reduce emissions while remaining compatible with existing engines and fuel infrastructure. Since high school, Damani has dedicated nearly a decade to advancing scalable, refinery-ready alternatives that help countries strengthen energy security while progressing toward net-zero goals. Under his leadership, the Carbon Neutral Initiative develops low-carbon fuels and digital climate accountability tools that support SDGs 7, 8, 9, and 13. His work focuses on practical decarbonization pathways for developing economies, ensuring that climate-vulnerable regions are not only consumers of energy solutions, but producers of them. Damani is committed to building globally relevant, Caribbean-born technologies that bridge economic growth and climate resilience.
