Daniela Perrotta

Biography

Daniela Perrotta is Coordinator of the Latin American Forum on Scientific Evaluation (FOLEC) at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, where she works on responsible research assessment, open science, knowledge democratization, and science policy from a Global South perspective. Her work focuses on promoting more inclusive, socially relevant, and regionally grounded approaches to knowledge production and evaluation in Latin America and the Caribbean. She is also an Independent Researcher at National Scientific and Technical Research Council, based at the Institute for Research in Educational Sciences (IICE), Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Buenos Aires. Currently, she serves — on leave from CONICET due to higher office appointment — as Secretary for Development and Institutional Engagement at the National University of the Arts, where she leads initiatives on university internationalization, institutional cooperation, and strategic partnerships. Her academic work specializes in higher education internationalization, Latin American regional integration, geopolitics of knowledge, South-South cooperation, and global governance of higher education and science.
