Biography

Dr. Javier Aliaga Lordemann is a recognized economist specializing in the integrated dynamics of macro-finance and climate-energy-agriculture transitions. He currently serves as CEO of MW Investment, Associate Researcher at INESAD, Associate at KCI, and a member of a number of boards of directors, as well as of Southern Voice’s advisory committee for its climate work. Previously, he was the Global Director of the Center of Excellence in Climate and Sustainability. His career includes advisory work across more than 45 countries, guiding governments, multilaterals, and financial institutions through complex economic and ecological changes. An expert in development finance and the global financial architecture, Dr. Aliaga Lordemann develops frameworks to mitigate transition risks and scale climate finance. His strategic counsel has been instrumental in shaping national policies on energy subsidies, resource economics, and project bankability. A frequent speaker at international forums, and he has published over 10 books and 50 peer-reviewed articles.
