Hon. Lee Kinyanjui is the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade, and Industry, Republic of Kenya. Chairperson of the COMESA council of Ministers. The Council of Ministers is the second-highest policy organ of COMESA. He is the co-chairperson of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Council of Kenya and the European Union. Previously, he served as the Governor of Nakuru County from 2017 to 2022. During his tenure, he oversaw the elevation of Nakuru Municipality to city status and was named the most business-friendly governor in Africa by the African Leadership Magazine. He also chaired the Lands, Planning, Urban Development, and Infrastructure Committee as well as the Energy Committee at Kenya’s Council of Governors. Hon. Kinyanjui served as the Member of Parliament for Nakuru Town (2007–2012) and as the Assistant Minister for Roads during the same period. He also previously served as the Chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), where he championed reforms in road safety and the modernization of transport systems.
