Norichika Kanie

Biography

Professor at Graduate School of Media Governance, Keio University, Director of xSDG Laboratory at Keio Research Institute at SFC, and Co-Director of Keio STAR at Keio Global Research Institute. He serves various governmental committees including the SDGs Promotion Round-Table of the SDGs Promotion Headquarters in the Government of Japan, and sustainability advisors, including Japan Airlines, Shizen Energy, and Okinawa Prefecture. He was appointed by the UN Secretary General to one of the 15 Independent Group of Scientists to write the Global Sustainable Development Report 2023. In 2025 he launched Public-Private Forum on Beyond SDG, an initiative based in Japan/Asia.
