Biography

Ram Sri is Vice President-Senior Credit Officer in Moody's Ratings Sustainable Finance Group, based in London. He leads Moody's global initiative to integrate water risk into analysis, ratings and research, examining how water reliability, infrastructure and financial flexibility shape credit outcomes across sovereigns and corporates. He is the lead author of Moody's recent reports including "Water reliability, infrastructure and funding shape credit resilience to supply stress" (June 2026) and "Desalination disruption and Gulf credit risk" (March 2026), as well as Moody's global environmental and social risks heat maps. His work connects water risk to ratings, sovereign credit, infrastructure finance, and emerging financing approaches including blended finance. Ram has spoken at the OECD Roundtable on Financing Water (Madrid), the Global Water Summit, and Chatham House (London). His research and analysis is used widely by development finance institutions, multilateral organisations and investors examining water and climate resilience as a credit factor. He previously worked in Moody's Financial Institutions Group in New York, where he covered US regional and global investment banks, securities firms and asset managers, and holds Master's degrees from Warwick Business School and the University of Warwick (UK).
