Biography
Mr Varkey oversees the World Bank's regional health portfolio across the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan. He brings extensive experience on financing for resilient health systems and on the integration of humanitarian and development engagement in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, including the World Bank's longstanding investment in Yemen's health sector through national institutions and UN partners.
