Stephan Schnabel

Biography

He started his career at HELM AG in 1996 with a dual training to become a business economist in foreign trade. The following years he worked as a field representative at HELM’s sales office in Dusseldorf, Germany. In 2001 he moved to HELM’s subsidiary in Istanbul, Turkey, where he started as a department manager before taking over the general management of the company in 2004. In 2009 he returned to Hamburg as a senior executive manager being responsible for several subsidiaries worldwide, specifically in Latin America and Southern Europe. In 2011 he was promoted to executive director taking over the management of the crop protection division including HELM’s crop protection companies in South America. He was appointed to the executive board in 2012 and finally became the chairman of the executive board on 1 April 2020.
