Biography
Mr. Ungerbuehler is a senior police executive seconded from the Bavarian State Police, Germany, to INTERPOL since 2022. As Assistant Director for the Environmental Security Sub-Directorate, he leads five crime areas addressing the threat of illegal mining, forestry, pollution, fishing and wildlife trafficking. Mr. Ungerbuehler has 40 years of law enforcement experience, holding a variety of operational and leadership positions, particularly in terrorism/extremism and serious organized crime investigations.
