Who Is Eligible to Apply?

We are looking to amplify the voices of young community leaders who have a proven record of delivering concrete solutions to sustainability challenges and mobilizing supporters to drive success – whether by founding their own initiatives or raising awareness through existing networks.

Age: You are between 18 and 30 years old.

Background: You come from and reside in a Global South country. We base our approach here on the current DAC List of ODA Recipients of the OECD. You can check whether your country falls into this category by using the „Country of Residence“ dropdown menu. If your country does not appear in the dropdown menu, you are unfortunately not eligible to apply for the program.

Leadership: You are a young leader actively driving sustainability efforts in your community.

Commitment: You can confidently communicate in English and are able to dedicate time to actively participate in the program and contribute to the conference. This might also include preparatory work ahead of the conference.

We are also planning a Roundtable Series in one of our partner countries in the week of December 7–11, 2026. To participate in the program, you would also need to be available to travel during this time to attend our Roundtables. More information will be shared during the selection process.

Apply by October 19, 2026 to join us for the HSC Youth Roundtable Series in December, as well as the Conference in Hamburg on May 31–June 1, 2027.

We are looking forward to receiving your application. Please reach out directly at youth@sustainability-conference.org if you have any issues with the application form.
