Biography

Benjie is the CEO of the https://sharedusemobilitycenter.org/ and chairs the https://www.populartransport.org/. He also convenes the https://sharedmobility2030.org/ and edits and produces https://gpitransportation.substack.com/. Benjie serves on the UITP https://www.uitp.org/topics/informal-transport/, the https://www.uitp.org/topics/informal-transport/ Partners Committee, the https://www.mobiliseyourcity.net/ Steering Committee, and is a Senior Fellow for Mobility for the https://canurb.org/. He was a member board of the https://www.aceee.org/ (ACEEE) and the US Advisory Committee of the https://www.itdp.org/, He served as the first-ever Chief of Strategy and Innovation for the Seattle Department of Transportation. He and his team drafted the city’s Transportation Information Infrastructure Plan. He also led the development of Seattle’s New Mobility Playbook.
