Christian Ketels is Lead Economist in the Competitiveness Unit of the World Bank, where his focus is on long-term growth strategies, sectoral policies and value chains. He spent over two decades at Harvard Business School as a faculty member and Principal Associate at Professor Michael Porter’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. He is also Senior Advisor at the House of Governance, Stockholm School of Economics; Director and Co-Chair of Innovation Fund Denmark; and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Orkestra, the Basque Institute for Competitiveness. Dr. Ketels has advised a wide range of governments, corporations, and international organisations, including the World Bank, IMF, Nordic Investment Bank, and the European Commission.
