Cynthia Chávez

Biography

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad de las Américas Puebla and has pursued a Master’s degree in Administration at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. She also completed a Diploma in Traffic and Transportation Engineering at the Universidad Iberoamericana de León and an executive program at the London School of Economics titled “Leading Transport Transitions.” She has 15 years of experience in the public sector, focused on infrastructure and transport. Throughout her career, she has served as Manager of Promotion and New Business at Puebla International Airport, Director of Planning at the Ministry of Transport, Director of Mass Transit for the Government of the State of Puebla, and General Director of Mobility in León, Guanajuato. She has also worked as an independent consultant on various mobility projects at both national and international levels. She currently serves as Deputy Minister for Mobility and Road Safety, within the State Ministry for Mobility and Transport of Puebla. She has contributed to the development of numerous mobility and transport projects, including the first three BRT corridors in Puebla, railway initiatives, and the implementation of 40 kilometres of cycling infrastructure in the city of León, among others.
