Biography

About Eva: Eva’s unique blend of expertise in law and finance, paired with a deep passion for sustainability shapes her work. She oversees Siemens’ commitment to operationalize sustainability through its integration in business activities, the technology roadmap, investment decisions, operations, and governance. Eva joined Siemens in 2012, after working for more than a decade as a finance lawyer in New York.  At Siemens, she has worked as Senior Vice President in Mergers and Acquisitions, as Chief Financial Officer and General Partner of Next47, the Siemens-owned venture capital firm, and as Head of Investor Relations. She became Global Head of Sustainability in October 2022, leading the Siemens Sustainability department across businesses and regions. In this strategically vital position, she collaborates with business leaders across Siemens to develop sustainability strategies, innovative solutions and business models. In addition, she is responsible for sustainability reporting of Siemens, CO2 management, Siemens sustainability governance and ESG risk management as well as related topics such as sustainability data management and architecture. Under her watch, Siemens was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal, CDP placed Siemens on the Climate Change A list, and Siemens 2030 and 2050 emissions reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative. Combining the real and the digital worlds, Siemens empowers its customers to become more competitive, more resilient, and more sustainable, accelerating their goals along the three key impact areas of decarbonization & energy efficiency, resource efficiency & circularity and people centricity & societal impact. More than 90% of Siemens business enables positive sustainability impact for our customers. In fiscal 2024, Siemens offerings sold will avoid around 144 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the course of their lifetime. This is higher than what Siemens as a company generated with 121 million tons of emissions along its entire value chain (Scope 1, 2 and 3). Eva has a doctorate in international public law from Goethe University in Frankfurt, and Master of Law degrees from New York University School of Law and Université Paris Nanterre.
