Kathrin Berensmann

Biography

Kathrin Berensmann has been a senior researcher and project head at the German Institute for Development and Sustainability (IDOS) in Bonn since 2000. She previously worked at the German Institute for Economic Research in Cologne and at the University of Würzburg. Kathrin Berensmann holds a master degree in Economics and a PhD from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Würzburg. Her research and policy advice focuses on development finance, sustainable finance and international financial architecture. She has worked for more than 25 years in research and policy advice for various national and international public institutions, including the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Federal Ministry of Finance, the United Nations, the World Bank and Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
