Biography

Ms. Mbalenhle Simphiwe Golding, CA(SA), is an accomplished executive and Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of leadership experience across the public, private, and state-owned sectors. She currently serves as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of SAMSA, where she oversees strategic, financial, and operational mandates both nationally and internationally. Her career highlights include leading the Department of Water and Sanitation to its first unqualified audit in eight years, delivering clean audits at the Gauteng Tourism Authority, and managing high-value national contracts at Imperial Automotive Retail. She is recognized for driving governance reform, financial turnarounds, and stakeholder engagement at board and ministerial levels. Ms. Golding holds a BCompt Honours from UNISA and a BCom Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a member of SAICA and the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA). Her leadership is defined by a commitment to integrity, accountability, and public sector transformation, with a strong passion for women empowerment and institutional resilience.
