Mirjam Staub-Bisang

Biography

Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang is a Swiss investment executive, lawyer, and thought leader in sustainable finance. She currently serves as Chair and Senior Advisor of BlackRock Switzerland, having previously held the position of Country Head from 2018 to 2024. Prior to joining BlackRock, Dr. Staub-Bisang co-founded and led a Zurich-based investment management firm specializing in sustainable investments. Her earlier career includes senior roles in asset management and private equity at Commerzbank, Swiss Life, and Quadrant, as well as investment banking at Merrill Lynch .  She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich and an MBA from INSEAD. Admitted to the Zurich bar, she has authored several publications on sustainable investing, including “Sustainable Investing for Institutional Investors: Risks, Regulations, Strategies” and co-authored the second edition of “Infrastructure as an Asset Class” .  Dr. Staub-Bisang serves on various boards, including the Swiss Sustainable Finance Association, the Swiss Asset Management Association, and the global shoe retailer Bata.   In recognition of her contributions, she was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2009 .
