Biography

Peter Pages Bwire is a Kenyan-based film executive, cultural entrepreneur, and founder of the Kitale Film Week. With over a decade of experience in the creative industries, Peter is committed to building sustainable ecosystems for African storytelling. He is spearheading the Kitale City of Film initiative, which aims to position Kitale as a hub for film production, education, and audience development in Africa. As a community mobilizer and strategist, Peter focuses on audience-first approaches, regional infrastructure development, and the monetization of cultural IP to empower local creatives. His work integrates innovative models with African realities, promoting cultural preservation and economic growth. Peter holds a Master’s degree in International Film Business and is actively establishing the Kitale Film Institute to nurture talent and elevate African cinema.
