Biography

Peter is deputy head of the sustainable finance policy unit within the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission. The unit is notably responsible for developing new policies and coordinating actions with international partners to mobilise private investors towards sustainable investments in EU’s partner countries. Prior to his current post, Peter worked in the Secretariat-General’s task force working on the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility. He previously worked in the bank resolution and deposit insurance unit of the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union and as an economist with the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs working on macroeconomic imbalances. Before joining the European Commission, Peter worked as an adjunct lecturer and as an economist and risk officer in the asset management industry. He holds a Master degree and a Doctorate in finance from the Paris-Dauphine University.
