Biography
Mr. Suraj Vanniarachchy has 15-years’ experience in sustainability practices. He sits within the principal investment team in Macquarie’s Global Carbon business and is responsible for originating low carbon project development opportunities. He also leads the technical due diligence process for carbon project investments and has a deep understanding of Paris aligned investments in various jurisdictions. Prior to joining Macquarie, Suraj designed and developed carbon reduction and avoidance projects under different standards including The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Verra across multiple regions.
