Biography
Since December 2021, Svenja Schulze serves as Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development and is a member of the German Bundestag. Before she had first joined the Federal Cabinet when she became Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in March 2018 until December 2021. In her career she held several public positions in the North Rhine-Westphalia including member of the state parliament and State Minister for Innovation, Science and Research. She holds a Master of Arts degree in German studies and political science from Bochum University.
